Check-in is anytime after 4 PM. Check-out is 10 AM. If you have an estimated arrival time, we always appreciate a heads up!

We keep it simple and appreciate your help with a few quick things:

• Wash any dishes used

• Take out trash

• Leave used towels in the laundry room

• Leave doors unlocked

Our home is fully solar-powered and runs on a private well. You’ll still have all the comforts, hot water, heating, cooling, kitchen, WiFi. However to be more eco friendly we do ask guests to be mindful of usage.

To keep everything running smoothly:

• Use larger appliances (laundry, heaters, blow dryers) during the day ☀️

• Keep heavier energy use minimal at night (runs on battery power)

• Turn off lights, heaters, and electronics when not in use

• Be mindful during cloudy days when solar production is lower

Water comes from our private well, so we ask guests to be mindful and avoid excessive use.

Yes! We are a small family homestead. You may see deer, wild turkey, quail, farm animals, and our friendly farm dogs.

• Love cats? Feel free to let him in for snuggles

• Not a cat person? No problem—he’s perfectly happy outside

No pets allowed. We love critters! But because thsi is a working farm, for all animals safety guest pets are not allowed.

We’re about 35 miles from the El Portal entrance, an easy and beautiful drive!

Very rural, peaceful, and private on a 12 acre homestead. Only 10 miles from the historic town of Mariposa.

Very! This space was designed by a mama of seven, so we’ve tried to think of everything:

• Extra blankets + towels
